Who We Are

The Alabama Community Education Association (ACEA) works to promote quality education programming outside of the traditional school day for students of all levels. We work to provide a network of advocacy, legislative involvement, and year-round efforts to align the many moving parts required to make quality programming successful. ACEA also hosts an annual conference for sharing, learning, and making connections to support our passions of serving children and families.

Our organization is unique in that our members represent schools, communities and faith-based entities that perform a wide array of duties far beyond teaching. ACEA members care for children and families to enhance the quality of life in our state. Members may be an aide, a teacher, a director, a superintendent, a principal,  a bookkeeper, coordinator or evaluator, serving a school, a district, a community or the state in these different capacities.

WHY JOIN

Being a part of the Alabama Community Education Association provides opportunities for individuals who are willing to give their time and talents to leading and being an advocate for the numerous facets of all the concepts that fall under the umbrella of Community Education.

HOW TO JOIN

If you attend the annual conference, your membership fees are included in the conference registration.

If you have not attended the conference, click 'membership' at the top of the website to complete the registration form.
